Gwen, Senior Community Development Officer

“As a SCDO I have been blessed to walk down the path of Community development with many of our First Nations Communities.

It has been wonderful to watch them grow, not only in skills but in confidence.  I am very proud of the work we do here at CFD and mostly because our projects are community driven, they hold the power of decision.

I have also enjoyed working alongside our amazing volunteers, watching them build lasting relationships with community members by sharing not only their skills but also seeing them invested in the toils, tribulation, achievements and joys along the way.

What we do here at CFD is more than working towards engaging communities and assisting them to attain their Dreams and ambitions, we also build long term friendships and if that is not reconciliation, I don’t know what is”
