What’s a moment with Community First Development that’s stayed with you?
A particular highlight was when client, Rhubee Neale's website went live, Desert Rhubees Creation, and Rhubee was so happy describing it as capturing her spirit and that seeing all of her wonderful talents in one place really opened her eyes to what an exceptional and multi-talented person she is (my words as Rhubee is very humble about her talents 😊). From speaking to Rhubee, the website has achieved her dream of presenting all of her work domestically and internationally for people to see her talents and have an opportunity to purchase one of her artworks, employ her for her musical talents, a workshop or mentor talk, which I feel very privileged to be a part of.
What real change have you seen through our work together?
In my area of creating websites for either new or existing businesses, it has been a wonderful collaboration between the client, Community First Development, myself and in many cases The Circle. We all work together to really showcase the client’s exceptional talents and services and gain their business more exposure. Most clients have had a very clear vision for their websites, and it has been a joy working with such creative and dedicated people to bring their vision to life alongside Community First Development and The Circle.
For communities and staff: what are your hopes for future generations?
That this great collaboration opportunity continues well into the future and assists not only current clients, but has a ripple effect through to their families, extended families and friends and their communities in the long term. For those that are expanding their portfolios or business through websites, I hope the websites that they have created will be a showcase for the great work that the clients have done and are doing and will be looked at with pride by their children and grandchildren and encourage them to dream big!

Congratulations Community First Development on your 25 year anniversary! I have only been a part of the volunteer team for a short while but your vision, dedication, professionalism and friendly and helpful support for project clients and myself have been truly outstanding, thank you! A special thank you to Alex in Adelaide who has been such a great ongoing support and great for a chat, and Ellen for all of her help and for being very patient with my late submissions 🤪. Also a huge thank you to the donors and their continued support to allow us to do what we do and for the communities for trusting in us to help make their dreams a reality. Well done and all the best for the next 25 years!
